Our Story

Peplos Linen began with a simple conviction:

That every home deserves textiles that breathe, biodegrade, and live beautifully.

The more we shopped for quilts, the more we noticed a strange pattern. The prices looked luxurious. The materials did not.

Again and again, we found synthetic fills, plastic-based fabrics, and lightweight construction marketed as premium. Somewhere along the way, the textile industry decided that polyester was a reasonable substitute for quality.

We disagreed.

As sisters with a shared love of thoughtful design and natural materials, we started Peplos Linen to create the kind of quilt we wanted in our own homes: substantial, breathable, beautifully made, and crafted to last.

Our quilts are made with a 100% linen shell and natural cotton batting, never synthetic fills. We chose linen because it softens with time, breathes beautifully, and carries a quiet character that only gets better with age. Each piece is hand sewn, stone washed for softness, and produced in limited quantities with a slower approach to craftsmanship.

We believe comfort should be honest. The materials should be real. The quality should be felt. And the things we bring into our homes should earn their place over time.

We know most people don't spend their evenings reading about GSM, fiber content, quilt construction, and textile history.

We do.

And honestly, we love it.

Through our journal, we share what we've learned about linen quilts, natural fibers, construction methods, fill materials, and the details that separate a truly well-made textile from one designed to be replaced.
